How To Make Your Own Detox Diet Recipes

Detox diet recipes come in many shapes and forms, and you can easily make your own detoxification recipes!

I could tell you tons of recipes but instead I am going to show you how you can make your own healthy recipes, teach a man to fish, remember that one?

The most important thing is to keep it extremely simple and only eat foods that come from nature, which means:

- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Nuts
- Seeds
- Grains
- Beans

I didn't add eggs, meat and those in there because while I do think they are healthy, it can be good to take a break from them.

The simpler you go, the more your body will detoxify.

The simplest way and the way I recommend is if you only eat fresh, ripe, raw and organic:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Seeds

If you can't get them organic then go with the regular kind. I live in Northern Scandinavia where it is hard to get organic produce so I just buy regular, and it works fine!

Do I hear you protesting a bit?

Don't worry! It is a delicious detox diet. You can eat so many things, there are a HUGE selection of fruits and vegetables in supermarkets today.

You can make recipes like:

  • Smoothies
  • Salads
  • Purées
  • Cold Soups

And much more! You can also just eat them as they are.

You have to eat larger volumes with fruits because they have less calories per pound than for example meat, bread and eggs.

If you want to give your body a break and let it start detoxing you can start switching your regular meals for these raw meals.

After awhile when you feel it is time you could even be eating 50% or more of your meals raw everyday, your body will love it, I promise!

After a few weeks you can start adding in organic meats, wild fish and game, chicken, and eggs. The more natural they are (i.e. organic), the better it is for your body.

Detox Diet Recipes I Use

As you've already learned, I like to make really simple recipes. Here are a few:

Banana Smoothie - This is my favorite because it is so easy to make and it tastes great! It goes something like this...

  • 5-10 Banans (depending on your appetite)
  • Strawberries, Raspberries or Blueberries (as much as you want)

And that's it! Sometimes I throw in spinach or romaine lettuce to get some of those raw healthy greens in there, I suggest you do the same, it is an easy way to get greens in your diet if you don't really like eating big salads.

Sneaky Dad's Pudding - I love this one, it is a very nice tasting and healthy pudding! (from the book Becoming Vegan by David and Melina)

  • 1½ cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana, cut into 4 pieces
  • 1-2 tsp carob or cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp flaxseed oil
  • 3-5 tbsp nut butter (preferably cashew or almond)
  • 2-3 tbsp orange juice or another healthy juice that you like
  • 2 tbsp soy, oat or ricemilk, any flavor will do!
  • 1/8 - 1/4 avocado, cut into wedges

Throw all this in your mixer or food processor and let it rumble!

This detox diet recipe makes 2 servings with the following breakdown:

  • 7% Protein
  • 48% Fat
  • 45% Carbohydrates

It is a little bit too high in fat to my liking but if you do not eat it everyday it is fine.

How to Detox Naturally (And Safely)

One of the best ways to detoxify your body is through a safe, and completely natural colon cleanse.

DrFlorasColon cleanses can be done by just eating a strict healthy diet, or going on a juice fast.

You can also buy a professionally formulated herbal colon cleanse, which has been formulated to effectively and safely eliminate toxins from your body.

I've done a lot of research on the best colon cleansers, and I have to say, there are a lot of bad ones out there. The one I think is best - and that I recommend - is DrFloras colon cleanse.

They even offer a long money-back guarantee in case it doesn't work for you.

I'm very careful with what I recommend. I only recommend products that are 100% natural, safe, and effective, which is why I really like DrFloras.

Good luck on your detoxification journey!

I recommend the DrFloras colon cleanser if you want to cleanse your colon safely, effectively, and without spending a fortune.
