Homemade Colon Cleansing Diet

broccoli colon cleansingMaking your own homemade colon cleansing diet doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to be expensive and it certainly doesn't have to be dangerous.

If you're not interested in a herbal colon cleanse or an enema that is perfectly okay. You can easily clean your colon by changing what you eat.

Many health practitioners believe that all you have to do is cleanse your colon and you'll be healthy. It doesn't work quite like that, at least not from my experience. I am not saying that cleansing your colon is bad, on the contrary, it can be very beneficial when done right.

What I am saying is that if you eat unhealthy foods and do an enema now and then, it will not be enough. In order for you to enjoy lasting health and vitality, you have to change what you feed your body. What you eat is extremely important not just for your colon health but for your whole body and mind.

The large intestine is almost 5 feet long and its primary function is to store and remove waste from our bodies, and also take care of our body's water balance. When you eat a diet full of processed, high-fat and generally unhealthy food your colon suffers because it is working overtime on trying to discard all that waste.

When you switch to your homemade colon cleansing diet you'll give your colon a break because it now gets more foods that it can just give the green light for and absorb the good stuff, of course it still needs to discard some things but it is a lot less!

 

Getting Started With Your Diet

I'm going to get right to it. This diet is completely natural and you could live your whole life just on these foods. The things you'll need for this diet are:

  • Pure water
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • A handful of nuts and seeds
  • Optional: Psyllium & Bentonite

You can do whatever you want with the fruits and vegetables as long as you do not alter them in any way. By altering I mean heating, freezing and... I guess that's it!

You can make smoothies, salads, purées and whatever you can come up with and on top of it all you can eat as much as you want. You heard me! You can eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want!

And at the end of the day I recommend that you have a handful of raw organic nuts or seeds that you can sprinkle in your salad before you go to bed. It is best not to mix nuts and seeds with fruits and/or vegetables because of their fat content. They might make your digestive system sluggish and we don't want that on your homemade colon cleansing diet.

As for water, try to get pure water, as pure as you can. Try to drink half your bodyweight in ounces everyday. If you weigh 140 pounds then try to drink 70 ounces.
