Female Colon Problems - What Should Women Do?

advertisement

female colon problemsFemale colon problems are usually of the same caliber compared to their counterparts.

You never think that your colon could cause such health issues until it starts giving you trouble.

When it happens, if it happens, you notice how much of your health is dependent on the wellbeing of your colon.

Colon cleansing has been around for ages in the form of enemas, but recently it has evolved in the form of colon hydrotherapy, colonic irrigation and new herbal treatments.

As our society "evolved" and begun eating the highly processed food we eat today, our colon problems grew.

Nevertheless, colon problems have now become a common occurance and so have the colon cleansing products.

Men are a bit more prone to colon complications, but women are not far away.

The best part about all of this is that you can treat and prevent your colon problems by keeping your colon clean and healthy by eating a natural wholesome diet.

Our diet is the cause of almost all of our stomach problems today. If you take care of your diet, you will most likely be fine ;-)

Some common problems include:

  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Appetite loss
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Acidity
  • Abdominal pain
  • Cramps, etc.

These colon problems however, are common in both the sexes.

Women tend to have trouble with constipation during pregnancy, which can lead to hemorrhoids. Straining while on the toilet can aggravate this condition even further.

The reason women tend to be more prone to get constipated during pregnancy has to do with the hormone progesterone.

This hormone actually slows down the movement of food in your stomach which then tends to lead to constipation.

Here's a few quick tips on how to avoid constipation:

  • Drink plenty of water (atleast 10 glasses every day).
  • Eat a diet high in fiber
  • Exercise!

Some of the more mild colon problems witnessed by women are:

  1. Dietary Problems:
Most women have the same problem as men, they do not eat enough fiber, which is a must. This is one of the greatest problems. Not getting enough fiber is the problem in both male and female colon problems. Fiber is present in foods and if fiber-rich foods are consumed in abundance, colon problems can be prevented. Whole grains and particularly bran, whole wheat bread, whole fruits, vegetables, legumes, brown rice and nuts are great sources of fiber.

  2. Enough Fluid Consumption:
Fluids and especially water must be drunk in abundance to avoid colon problems. Drink water when you are thirsty and even when you are not. By fluid, I do not mean soft drinks; soft drinks are detrimental for your health, avoid them! Water is the best detoxifier and you must provide your body with plenty of clean water to keep the system clean.

  3. See A Doctor:
Finally, if you still feel that your colon is giving you problems, you need to see a doctor. Your doctor would probably suggest some medications or colon cleansing tips for your improvement. Some tests might also be required for diagnosing any internal problems
